Medicare Access to Rehabilitation Services Act of 2003
Last Updated:
People with brain injury face the challenges of putting their lives back together after traditional medical rehabilitation and insurance support has been exhausted. As if that weren't daunting enough, Congress is currently debating the fate of Medicare spending, which poses an additional threat to resources for those affected by brain injury. As annual budgetary limits are considered for outpatient rehabilitation services such as physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy, vital services for hundreds of thousands of beneficiaries are at stake. However, immediate action can preserve this coverage.
Tell Congress not to place caps on needed therapy.
